Steve has been attending MVPC since it first started in 1981. In 1986, after graduating from Oregon Sate University (Go Beavs!), Steve took over leadership of the youth department and has been walking with students in his trademark cargo shorts and hiking boots ever since. Steve is joined in ministry by his wonderful wife Suze, who teaches and raises up future leaders at Fall City Elementary. They met at OSU and have been married to for 17+ great years. Despite Steve’s long term commitment to ministry at MVPC, his impact on youth is not contained by the walls of the church. He coaches football and facilitates leadership activities at
Tahoma
High School, helping to raise up the next generation of leaders for the church and our nation. Steve’s driving passion is seeing Jesus Christ change the lives of students and watch as they use their gifts to impact individuals and the community. In recognition of Steve’s commitment to service, he was named 2007 Maple Valley Citizen of the Year.
